CORE System Management builds audit-ready HSE and maintenance document suites that pass client review, and embeds planners who cover the gap and run shutdowns end to end. Both come off 30+ years inside asset-intensive operations — not theory, not templates.
Founder, CORE System Management
You deal with Nigel directly — no account manager, no discovery deck. Over 30 years inside maintenance operations across Australian industry, not watching from the outside but building, running and fixing CMMS programmes on site: planning, scheduling, backlog control, PM strategy and the unglamorous data work underneath all of it.
That work has been done in SAP PM, Maximo, Pronto Xi and Infor EAM, on systems ranging from a single work centre through to site-wide catalogues carrying more than 270,000 maintenance items. Different platforms, the same recurring failures: PMs written once and never reviewed, backlogs that grow because nobody owns the aged work, and compliance figures that measure paperwork rather than execution.
That background sets the benchmarks behind every PM Efficiency Audit — decades of seeing what good, and bad, maintenance execution actually looks like on site.
Nigel is the face of CORE SM and stays across every engagement. Behind him, a team of trade-qualified planners and document specialists builds the audit-ready suites, covers the planner gap and runs shutdowns — so the work scales without losing the practitioner standard it’s judged by.
Three principles behind everything we deliver.
A document pack isn’t finished when it reads well. It’s finished when someone whose job is to reject it can’t. Everything in our document suites is written backwards from that review — real org chart, real plant, real site risk, full document control — which is why we revise it free of charge, for 90 days from delivery, until it passes. Once it passes, a Document Care Plan keeps it current instead of letting it drift out of date the month after approval.
Almost every site we assess is sitting on the answer. A standard work-order export — the kind any planner can produce in ten minutes — is usually enough to show where the system is losing time. We don’t need a data project before we can be useful, and we don’t need access to your systems to start.
The measure of a good engagement is that it ends. Interim planner cover hands back a documented position. A document suite ships with a numbering scheme and a review date your own team can run. If you need us permanently, we’ve done it wrong.
An Australian engineering contractor — 47 controlled documents built into one system, then more than half revised at a legislation currency review weeks later. That is what maintained looks like.
Four things we won’t do — because the value is in the ones we will.
CORE SM has no affiliation with any CMMS or EAM vendor and takes no commission from one. If your system is fine and your process is the problem, we’ll say so.
The free PM Efficiency Audit runs off an export you generate yourself. No logins, no remote sessions, no IT ticket.
Scope and a fixed price, confirmed within two business days. You know the number before you commit.
Every figure on this site is anonymised unless the client has agreed in writing to be named. Yours would be too.
Based in NSW. Planning work is Australia-wide; document work is delivered worldwide, written to the standards that apply to your site. Most of what we do — audits, document suites, backlog and schedule work — is delivered remotely off your own system. Where an engagement genuinely needs someone on the ground, particularly through a shutdown, we say so up front.
If your documents are the concern, the Document Readiness Check takes twelve questions and gives you a result on the spot. If it’s the maintenance system, start with a free PM Efficiency Audit — a benchmarked scorecard from one export, back in one to two business days. Neither one costs anything.
Check my documents → Get my free audit →No account manager and no discovery deck. Tell us which documents your client, principal or regulator is asking for — or where your maintenance system stands — and we come back with scope and a fixed price, usually within two business days.
